International Students: Welcome to UC
The University of Cincinnati welcomes students from around the world to apply for admission. We pride our selves in successfully meeting the needs of our international students.
In the most recent International Student Barometer survey conducted by the British firm IGI Services, our international students gave UC the highest marks for student satisfaction among participating universities in eight different categories, including the UC Graduate School, International Services, academic registration and the university’s accounts/finance department.
Applying for admission
Applying to UC is relatively simple, but there are a few things to understand before you begin. For example:
- You will be required to fill out our application in English.
- You may need to take the TOEFL Test.
- Undergraduate applicants must take the SAT Test to qualify for certain programs and scholarships. We strongly recommended that all undergraduate applicants take the SAT.
Undergraduate applicants apply through the Office of Admissions, following the instructions and guidelines on this web site. Graduate students must apply through the UC Graduate School.
After you are admitted to a UC program, the UC International Services office helps you obtain a visa, find housing, register for classes and get settled in Cincinnati. We'll even reimburse your $100 SEVIS fee that international students pay to the federal government if you enroll at UC!
The SEVIS school code for the University of Cincinnati is CLE 214F 10355 000.
If you have any questions, please contact us or one of our official overseas representatives. We look forward to assisting you and welcoming you as a UC student.
